The T-Shirt Project

We set three of our favourite artists a t-shirt challenge. We asked them to create a ‘Spread the Love’ themed Momiji tee…they worked their illustrative magic and with the help of the lovely folks at White Duck Screen Print we now have our t-shirt trio.

You can read more about our designers below and click straight through to the shop to order your favourite. These t-shirts are limited edition, we only made 100 of each design and we won’t be re-printing…

Julie West
Now living in UK, Julie West was born and raised in America where she graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 1998 with a BFA in illustration. Here at Momiji we’ve been admirers of her work for a while now; we fell in love with her limited edition pieces at My Plastic Heart in New York. Julie’s work has a kind of engineered elegance which has adorned bags, snowboards, luggage, vinyl toys and now a t-shirt for Momiji! You can buy her limited edition shirt here

Esther Chaye
We discovered Esther Chaye last year and we’ve been smitten ever since. Esther lives in Canada where she works as a designer, having recently graduated from Kwantlen University. She has a particular passion for packaging and product design and evidently a flair for clothing too – we love her cool white t-shirt. Bag yourself one of Esther’s t-shirts here

Jacqueline Colley
Back in 2007 we started working with students at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London which is where we first came across Jacqueline Colley and her impressive illustration skills. We love her breakfast interpretation of the ‘Spread the Love’ theme! Jacquie is now working her magic in Sweden for a rather well known fashion brand. Grab one of her designs here
