INSPIRATION FOR DOLL
The word Joy evokes all the passion I have for life. My desire is to provoke thought and inspire others, through a message of a love of the natural world, creativity and a zest for life. I have created the Momiji doll I would be.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES USED
Joy was constructed completely by hand. I hand dyed 100% cotton, screenprinted drawings and highlighted areas with embroidery. Her dreadlocks are felted and the buttons handmade from my own print designs.

BACKGROUND
I am a mature student studying a BA (Hons) Textiles & Surface Design in my final year at Cleveland College of Art & Design, Hartlepool, England.
